End of Year Donations

As 2025 draws to a close, we’re reminded of the courage Loudoun’s first responders show on our community’s toughest days—and the generosity that lets us show up for them in return.

Thanks to your support, the Loudoun First Responders Foundation has helped first responders through line-of-duty injuries, illnesses and hardships. Your gifts are used to make mortgage payments, provide counseling and deliver support when it’s needed most.

As you consider your year-end giving, please make a special gift to the Loudoun First Responders Foundation and help us continue standing with the men and women who protect us every day.

LFRF Delivers Towers of Treats on National First Responders Day

The Loudoun First Responders Foundation continued its tradition of delivering towers of treats and goodies to every first responder facility in the county. Sheriff’s stations, Fire & Rescue, local police departments, the 911 call center—every place you can think of.

October 28 is National First Responders Day and LFRF board members spread out all over the county delivering towers of delicious goodies to brighten our first responders’ day.

Loudoun First Responder Foundation's 20th Anniversary Celebration

Hundreds of Loudoun’s First Responders, their families, and generous supporters of the Loudoun First Responders Foundation, including our Annual Partners, showed up for our 20th anniversary event.

Attendees feasted on deeeelicious barbecue provided by ResQ BBQ in Leesburg. Our DJ provided great sounds. Great raffle prizes were won. And, the weather was beautiful.

All of this was to celebrate our first two decades where we have given away over $1,000,000.00 in first responder support and more than $250,000.00 in scholarships. WOW!

How LFRF Helps Our First Responders

You might think that LFRF only helps our first responders when they are injured, hospitalized or sick. And you would be right. But we do so much more. For example:

We learned about a first responder whose HVAC system had died. Due to more pressing financial concerns there was no money to get it repaired. For a year this family used space heaters and window fans. LFRF arranged to have a new HVAC system installed.

Then there was the time a first responder had a terrible leg injury while on a vacation overseas. We arranged for a business-class return flight so that the leg could be supported on a raised footrest.

And on more than one occasion, LFRF has paid the housing bill for parents who needed to be nearby their children while undergoing hospital treatment.

Our mission statement includes the words “in their time of need.” We try to fulfill that goal every time we can.

It Wasn't a GRIND for LFRF

GRIND, the electric pop-up art show curated by artist Kevin Bednarz, showcased paintings, prints, and street art by local artists. The event was held on Saturday, November 8th, and part of the proceeds benefited the Loudoun First Responders Foundation. We appreciate Mr. Bednarz’s continued support.

Admission was free, and the show was family-friendly. GRIND featured local guest artists, music, complimentary appetizers, and cocktails, along with live art demonstrations and other on-site activations.

LFRF at Holiday Shopping & Festival of Trees at the Barn at Brambleton

The beautiful Barn at Brambleton hosted its 3rd annual Holiday Shopping Village and Festival of Trees! With over 80 artisans on display, this event featured the finest handcrafted gifts and artwork from all over the DMV. Hundreds of visitors found everything from stocking-stuffers to beautiful artwork.

The event included a raffle of some amazing decorated trees donated by our community raising thousands of dollars for our foundation. Thank you to everyone who attended and bought raffle tickets.
